Bellevue's restaurant scene is better than its bland reputation suggests, driven largely by the large East Asian community that has made the Eastside its home. The concentration of Chinese, Korean, and Japanese restaurants in the Crossroads neighbourhood and along the 148th Avenue corridor rivals anything in Seattle proper, and the competition keeps quality high and prices reasonable.
Downtown Bellevue has higher-end options to match its corporate clientele. The Pacific Northwest cuisine movement — seasonal, produce-forward, local seafood — is well represented. For the best eating with the best value, head to Crossroads; for a nice meal without the Seattle hassle of finding parking, downtown Bellevue's restaurant row along NE 8th Street works well.
