Lincoln Square is the commercial and entertainment centrepiece of downtown Bellevue — a mixed-use complex of towers, a cinema, restaurants, and the Bellevue Arts Museum. The development is owned by the Freeman family, who have shaped downtown Bellevue more than any other single entity; it sits directly opposite Bellevue Square, the flagship shopping mall.
The cinema here is one of the larger multiplexes in the Eastside and consistently pulls Seattle visitors for big-release weekends when city theatres fill up. The restaurant level on the ground floor has a good range covering Japanese, Korean, and American options. This is where you go when you want to understand what Bellevue actually is — a thoroughly planned, car-optional (but car-dominant) mixed-use downtown that works on its own terms.
