Clymer Museum and Gallery

The Clymer Museum is devoted to the work of John Clymer, an Ellensburg-born illustrator and Western painter who produced more than 80 covers for the Saturday Evening Post in the 1940s and 1950s before moving on to large-format paintings of frontier life and the Northwest landscape.

The permanent collection holds dozens of Clymer's paintings and original sketches; the gallery space hosts rotating shows by Northwest artists. Located in a restored brick building on N Pearl, it is the centrepiece of the local arts scene and free to enter. Closed Mondays.
