Ellensburg punches above its weight for a town this size, thanks to the student population and an unusually engaged farming community. Within a few blocks of N Pearl Street you can eat carne asada, Thai curry, Texas barbecue, or the elaborate brunches that the Yellow Church Cafe is known for. Coffee is everywhere — D&M Coffee is the local roaster and has several shops downtown.
