A small, conservation-focused zoo on the lower slopes of Cougar Mountain, best known for its reindeer, cougars, and a respectable troop of cotton-top tamarins. The site is forested and the layout has a refreshingly low-key feel after the bigger urban zoos.
The Christmas Reindeer Festival in December is a local fixture. Open year-round; smaller than you might expect, easy to do in a couple of hours. Reasonable choice with younger kids.
