Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is the usual gateway. From Seattle, drive south through Tacoma and around Hood Canal, or take a ferry across Puget Sound and continue via the Kitsap Peninsula. Port Angeles, Forks, and Lake Quinault are the main bases around the park edge.
There is no road across the park's mountainous core. Expect to drive around the perimeter and enter individual valleys or visitor areas from outside.
