Rialto Beach

Rialto Beach is the Olympic coast in a single scene: driftwood piled like barricades, surf rolling in from a cold grey horizon, and sea stacks standing offshore. It feels wild even when the parking lot is full.

The classic walk heads north toward Hole-in-the-Wall, timed for low tide. Wear sturdy shoes and keep an eye on the tide table; the Pacific is not decorative here.
