Woodinville Warehouse District

The Warehouse District is the beating heart of Woodinville's wine scene — a compact cluster of 40-plus tasting rooms housed in converted industrial buildings on NE 145th Street. Unlike the estate wineries up on Hollywood Hill, this area is designed for walking, and a weekend afternoon can easily include five or six tastings without getting in a car.

The majority of wineries here source grapes from Eastern Washington — Walla Walla, Yakima Valley, Horse Heaven Hills — and the quality tier is genuinely high. You'll find craft breweries and cideries mixed in among the wine tasting rooms, as well as food trucks and a couple of restaurants making it easy to spend most of a day here. The concentrated format means you can compare a Cabernet from Walla Walla with one from Red Mountain, side by side, within a few minutes' walk.

A story
The Warehouse District came about because Eastern Washington grapes need Western Washington wallets: wineries from Walla Walla, Yakima Valley, and the Columbia River Gorge opened Woodinville tasting rooms to reach Seattle-area customers without the 3-hour drive.
