Heurich House Museum, often called the Brewmaster's Castle, is the late-19th-century mansion of German-born brewer Christian Heurich. The house is a strong stop for Victorian interiors, local brewing history, and the story of one immigrant family that became part of Washington's social and business elite.
Tours are the best way to see the interior. The small garden behind the house is a quieter pause near Dupont Circle when it is open.
