Lincoln Theatre is a restored performance hall on U Street, historically one of the key stages of Black Washington. Duke Ellington and Pearl Bailey performed here, and the theatre also hosted major jazz and popular music names including Louis Armstrong, Cab Calloway, Ella Fitzgerald, and Billie Holiday.
Today it is still used for concerts, comedy, talks, and community events, so the best way to see the interior is to book a performance.
