Old Stone House

The Old Stone House is the oldest original structure still standing in Washington, D.C. Built in 1765, it survived Georgetown's long transformation from port town to city neighbourhood and now operates as a small National Park Service house museum.

Inside, the rooms are arranged to show domestic life before the American Revolution. It is a short stop, but a useful one if you are walking M Street and want a tangible piece of Georgetown before the capital city grew around it.
