LeHardy Rapids is a short stop on the Yellowstone River where the water drops through a rocky cascade north of Yellowstone Lake. In spring, cutthroat trout can often be seen moving through the rapids, making it a worthwhile pause for wildlife watchers and anyone following the park road between lake and canyon.
