Mud Volcano is one of Yellowstone's more sulfurous thermal areas, with bubbling mud pots, steaming vents, Dragon's Mouth Spring, and Black Dragon's Caldron grouped around short boardwalk loops. It is less graceful than the geyser basins, but the noise, smell, and churn of the features make it a memorable stop on the road between Lake and Canyon.
