Bodega Suter

Suter is one of the oldest wineries in San Rafael, founded by a Swiss family in 1900. The original buildings — vaulted brick cellars, a small stone press house — still operate, and the visitor tour walks through them with the quiet pleasure of seeing genuinely old equipment still in use.

The wines are mostly Malbec, Cabernet, and Chardonnay; the white blends with Riesling — a Swiss touch — are unusual for the region and well worth tasting. The Etiqueta Marrón is the most famous bottle. The visitor experience is small-scale and unfussy, more of a family-business tasting than a Mendoza-style production. Worth a stop alongside Bianchi.
