Bodega Nanni is the most accessible winery in Cafayate for visitors without a car, located just a few blocks from the main plaza. It is a small, family-run operation — the kind of place where you can walk in off the street, taste the wines, buy a bottle, and have a brief conversation with someone who actually made what you are drinking. The Torrontés is the signature wine, and it is very good; the organic Malbec is also worth noting.
The bodega has been organic since the early 2000s, a commitment that shows in the vineyard and in the wine. Tours are informal and can often be arranged on the spot. The tasting room is small and unhurried, and the prices are considerably lower than at the larger estates. For visitors who want a less polished but more personal wine experience than the big bodegas offer, Nanni is the right choice.
