German bakery with panoramic terrace and homemade cakes above the Yungas valley

A German-run bakery and café perched above Coroico with one of the better terraces in town — flowers, wooden tables, and a wide view across the Yungas valley to the forested slopes beyond. The bread is real bread, baked in-house, and the cakes and pastries are a genuine treat after days of standard traveller fare. Breakfast is the main draw, but they also serve lunch and dinner with German dishes alongside Bolivian staples.

Popular with travellers recovering from the Death Road descent; worth timing a rest day around.
