Getting Around

Almost all of Bonito's ecotourism attractions lie outside the town centre in private reserves, and you cannot access most of them independently — entry is only through a licensed local agency that will arrange transport, a guide, and the required quota permit. This is not as restrictive as it sounds: agencies are efficient, well-organised, and often combine transport to multiple sites in a single day.

Within Bonito itself, the town is small and easy to walk. The main street, restaurants, and agency offices are all within a short stroll of each other. Bicycles and quad bikes are available to hire for exploring the immediate surroundings; the flat terrain makes cycling straightforward. The town is safe to walk at night during tourist season.
