Cachoeira Candaru is the second waterfall on the Engenho II circuit, often combined with Santa Bárbara on a long day's walk. The falls themselves are smaller — a series of cascades stepping down a rock face — but the pool at the base is wide and shallow, the most swimmable on the route.
It is also less crowded than Santa Bárbara. Visits are managed through the Kalunga community at Engenho II.
