The Poço Encantado — "enchanted pool" — is a deep natural swimming hole reached by a short walk through the cerrado just outside Cavalcante. The water is the deep blue-green that the chapada is known for, surrounded by smooth grey rock, and the pool is wide enough to swim laps.
Less dramatic than Santa Bárbara and Veu de Noiva but much closer to town and a good half-day option when you don't want to drive far. Local guides at the Cavalcante visitor centre can arrange the visit.
