The most spectacular of the beaches along the Itacaré coast — a long, almost empty stretch of white sand backed by coconut palms and Atlantic Forest, with consistent surf and excellent swimming. About 14 km north of town on the BA-001 road, with a 1.5 km walk down a forest path from the road to the beach.
It is the standard day trip from Itacaré. Come prepared: there is no shop, no shade, and one informal restaurant that runs out of beer by mid-afternoon. Bring water and sunscreen, and time your visit so the walk back to the road is in the cool of the late afternoon. The two-day visitor's tax (a small fee for park access) is collected on the path down.
