Regência is the coastal counterweight to inland Linhares. It is a small village near the mouth of the Doce River, with a long Atlantic beach, surf culture, and a conservation identity shaped by nearby Comboios and Projeto TAMAR.
Come for a rough-edged coast rather than polished beach infrastructure. Conditions can be powerful, and the beach is most interesting when seen with the wider turtle-conservation story of this part of Espírito Santo.
