Casa Búcher

A long-running German-Brazilian restaurant on the edge of the centre, set in a restored colonial house with a wood-fired Kachelofen tiled stove in the dining room. The menu runs the full traditional repertoire — Eisbein with sauerkraut, marreco recheado, Schweinshaxe, dense Apfelstrudel — plus a respectable list of regional cachaças.

Generous portions, slow service, and most of the clientele speaking Portuguese with a faint German accent.
