Getting There

Ponta Grossa is served by Monteiro Lobato Airport (PGZ), with regional flights to São Paulo-Congonhas and limited connections elsewhere. Most visitors arrive overland from Curitiba, 110 km to the east on the BR-376 and PR-151, a drive of about 90 minutes. Buses run frequently throughout the day from Curitiba's Rodoferroviária bus terminal, taking around two hours; several companies operate the route and tickets are inexpensive.

From São Paulo, the journey by road is about six hours. Direct overnight buses connect Ponta Grossa with major southern cities including Curitiba, Londrina, Maringá, and Porto Alegre.
