Concepción's draws are concentrated on the university campus and around the city centre. The Casa del Arte and its giant Camarena mural are the headline visit, but the leafy plazas, the Galería de la Historia diorama museum, and the laguna parks ringing the city all reward a half-day's wander. For something more active, head to the Mirador Cerro Caracol or take the suburban train to the coast.
