In the brick-vaulted cellars beneath the Palacio Sara Braun on the Plaza, this is the most atmospheric bar in southern Patagonia. The ceilings are low, the walls hung with old photographs of the sheep barons and their staff, and the long bar runs along one side of a narrow tunnel of a room.
The drinks list is reasonable — pisco sours, Chilean wine by the glass, local beer — and there is a short menu of bar food (cheese boards, smoked salmon, hot empanadas). It opens at around 6 p.m.; arrive at 7 to get a table by the wall.
