The parish church of San Martín de Tours stands at the edge of the Plaza de Armas and anchors the civic life of Quillota. The original church dates to the colonial founding of the city, though the present structure has been rebuilt and restored after successive earthquakes. Its simple whitewashed facade and bell tower are the most recognisable landmark in the valley.
The interior holds a number of devotional images and retablos accumulated over the centuries, reflecting the deep Catholic tradition of the Aconcagua valley. The church is named after the fourth-century Bishop of Tours whose feast day, 11 November, is observed with a local festival each year.
