The park cafeteria is the only place to eat on the island, and it operates on its own terms. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served at fixed hours; arrive late and you miss the meal. The food is simple Colombian cooking — rice, beans, chicken or fish, a vegetable or two — prepared in bulk and served without ceremony. Nobody comes to Gorgona for the food, and the cafeteria does not try to be more than what it is.
Meals are included in park accommodation packages. The prices are modest. The staff are friendly and accustomed to guests who have just come off a full-day trail and are hungry.
Bring snacks from the mainland if you are staying several days. The menu is the menu, and it repeats.
