A large pre-Columbian earth mound on the northern edge of town, built by the indigenous inhabitants long before the Spanish arrived. It resembles a grass-covered pyramid and is topped by a statue of Belalcazar, the city's founder. Local legend claims the interior holds gold and riches. The climb is easy and gives good views over the city.
