The Cathedral of Nuestra Senora de la Concepcion is the principal church of Concepcion and one of the landmarks around the old centre. Its broad facade and twin towers give the city a clear civic focus, especially around the plaza.
This is a short stop rather than a destination on its own, but it belongs on a walking route through Concepcion's historic core. Combine it with the riverfront and older streets to get a better feel for the city's role as a northern Paraguayan river port.
