Museo Civico Municipal occupies the former Teatro Municipal, an elegant yellow-and-grey building near Concepcion's municipal offices. Its strongest exhibits are paintings of the city's older architecture and port, useful for understanding how much of Concepcion's river-town character has changed.
The small collection also includes local historical objects, pre-Columbian pottery, a grand piano, and an old printing press. It is a modest but worthwhile stop while walking the historic centre.
