Brüning Museum

Pre-Columbian gold and ceramics from Sipán and Moche cultures

Address Av. Juan Pablo Vizcardo y Guzmán 895, Lambayeque
Opening Hours 9 am to 5 pm, except Mondays

Located in nearby Lambayeque, about 11 km north of Chiclayo. Named after German ethnographer Hans Heinrich Brüning, who spent decades documenting northern Peru's ancient cultures, the museum houses an excellent collection of pre-Columbian gold, ceramics, and textiles from the Sipán tombs and the Moche, Lambayeque, and Chimú cultures.

The highlight is the Sala de Oro (Gold Room), displaying intricate gold pieces from the Lambayeque period. Minibuses run frequently from Chiclayo and the ride takes about 20 minutes.
