From Piura: Buses run daily from Piura's bus terminals to Huancabamba. The journey takes 4–6 hours on a mountain road in variable condition. Departures are typically in the early morning and late afternoon; check locally for current operators and times. Several companies serve the route.
There is no airport. Huancabamba is accessible only by road. The only connection is to Piura; continuing east toward Jaen involves additional rough road travel.
