The sacred lagunas are the main draw. Ask around in town for which ones are easiest to reach — some can be visited independently, others require a guide. If you are interested in shamanism, you will need to go higher into the mountains where the best-known curanderos live. Locals can point you in the right direction. Combining a visit to a laguna with a shaman-led ritual bathing ceremony is a unique experience.
