Vista Alegre is the largest commercial winery in the Ica valley, founded in 1857 by the Picasso family. The estate is more industrial than Tacama but still worth a visit, with extensive cellars, modern bottling lines, and a tasting room that pours the full pisco range.
The tour is shorter and cheaper than at Tacama, which makes it a good choice if you only have time for one bodega and want to see how mass-market Peruvian pisco is made. The Sol de Ica brand, made here, is the country's best-selling pisco and a fixture in every Lima bar.
