Puente Colgante Kimiri is an old suspension bridge near La Merced, built in the early 1900s and still used as a local crossing. It gives a good view of the river and is one of the easiest ways to get out of the town centre on foot.
Across the bridge, informal paths lead toward small waterfalls and swimming spots. Ask locally before heading on, especially after rain.
