The Domo Bolivariano is Barquisimeto's main indoor arena, opened in 1983 and seating around 6,000. It hosts basketball — Guaros de Lara have been one of the strongest teams in Venezuelan basketball — along with volleyball, boxing, and the occasional large concert.
There is little to see here outside event days, but if you catch the Guaros at home the atmosphere is intense and the tickets are cheap by any international standard. Check local listings while you are in town.
