Playa El Amor is one of the longer beaches along Coche's southern coast and the centre of the island's small kitesurfing scene. Several schools and equipment-rental kiosks operate from beachside palapas, with the steady cross-shore wind that makes Coche one of the best learner destinations in the Caribbean.
For non-kitesurfers, the beach itself is fine pale sand backed by low scrubland, with very few visitors most days and turquoise water that drops off gradually. There are simple beach restaurants for grilled fish and beer.
