Punta Playa is a small fishing village on the south-western tip of Coche, with a tiny harbour and a beach that is essentially unvisited by anyone except locals. Fishermen launch dugout boats from the sand at dawn and return in the early afternoon with the day's catch — usually small pelagic fish that are sold the same evening.
There is nothing to do here other than walk the shoreline, sit at one of the basic beachside kiosks for a fried fish lunch, and watch the boats. For travellers looking for the most undeveloped corner of the island, this is it.
