Los Roques is reached by small plane from Caracas — specifically from Simón Bolívar International Airport at Maiquetía, on the Caribbean coast. Several small carriers operate the 40-minute flight, including Aerotuy and others that come and go. The small aircraft — typically Cessna Caravans or similar — carry about 10–12 passengers, and the approach over the archipelago gives a first dramatic view of the turquoise and white waters.
Day trips are possible and frequently sold from Caracas, but the combination of flight time, transfer, and the afternoon return leaves limited time on the water. Two to four nights allows a proper experience. Book flights and accommodation together; posada packages that include a daily boat trip to the outer cays are the standard format.
The national park entry fee is collected at the airport on arrival. All visitors must pay it; the fee supports park management.
