Margarita has dozens of beaches, from long Atlantic-facing strands with serious surf to sheltered Caribbean bays barely ruffled by a breeze. The northeast coast draws the biggest crowds, while the south and west sides are quieter. Most beaches have palapa-style restaurants and you can usually rent chairs and umbrellas for a small fee.
