Valencia is served by Arturo Michelena International Airport (VLN), with domestic flights and a small number of regional connections; many international travellers fly into Caracas (CCS) and continue overland. The drive from Caracas takes around two and a half hours on the Autopista Regional del Centro when traffic is light. Bus connections from Caracas, Maracay, Maracaibo and Barquisimeto are frequent and inexpensive, arriving at the main Terminal de Pasajeros on the south side of the city.
