Djemila is about 50 km north of Setif in northeastern Algeria. There is no direct public transport to the site — from Setif, hire a taxi (agree on a price for a round trip including waiting time, as finding a taxi back can be difficult). The journey takes about an hour on a decent road. From Algiers, Setif is reachable by train (around 3 hours) or bus, making a day trip feasible if you leave early. There are no facilities to stay in Djemila village itself; base yourself in Setif.
