Tlemcen has a small airport (Zenata-Messali El Hadj Airport) with flights to Algiers and some connections to France. Buses and trains connect the city to Oran (about two hours), Algiers, and other Algerian cities. The road from Oran follows the coast before turning inland through the hills.
