Obed Itani Chilume Stadium

Francistown's main stadium holds around 20,000 spectators and hosts matches from the Botswana Premier League as well as occasional international fixtures. It was renamed from Francistown Sports Complex in honour of Obed Itani Chilume, a Botswanan politician and independence-era figure from the region. If you happen to be in town on a match day, an afternoon at the football is an excellent way to spend a few hours — tickets are cheap, the atmosphere is energetic, and it's entirely off the tourist circuit.
