Luxor's restaurant scene is functional rather than exciting. The West Bank has a handful of simple local places near the temples, which suit lunch well. For dinner, the East Bank Corniche has more options, ranging from tourist-facing spots to local Egyptian restaurants. Beer is only reliably available at the larger hotels.
