Maadi Community Church

The Maadi Community Church is a non-denominational Protestant congregation that has served Cairo's international community since 1930. It holds services in English and welcomes visitors of all backgrounds. The church rents space in a building in the heart of Maadi and is one of the most active expat institutions in the district, running social programmes and community events alongside its Sunday services.

The congregation draws diplomats, aid workers, teachers, and business people from across the world, giving services a distinctly international character. For travellers missing a familiar form of worship, or simply curious about the expat community that gives Maadi its distinctive character, the church is worth knowing about.
