Arena Blanca is a stretch of pale sand on the southwestern coast of Bioko Island, a short drive from Luba along an improving coastal road. The beach is white and long by any standard, and sees almost no visitors — Equatorial Guinea attracts few tourists, and those who come generally stay in Malabo. This means Arena Blanca is genuinely undisturbed: no vendors, no infrastructure, no facilities beyond what you bring.
The sea here is warm and swimmable, with a gentle approach in the dry season. The forest begins immediately behind the beach and is worth exploring on foot — monitor lizards are common, and the birdlife includes species found nowhere else outside Bioko Island. The drive from Luba takes about 30 minutes on a good day; road conditions after rain can be difficult. Bring everything you need, as there is nothing for sale near the beach.
