Lambarene is a small town, and most of what brings people here lies along the Ogooue River and on the lakes that fan out from it. The hospital complex, the surrounding water world, and a few colonial-era churches are the main draws. Plan a half day for the Schweitzer site and at least a full day on the lakes.
