Baobab House

Vegetarian cafe and craft shop run by an NGO

Address Commercial Street

A small cafe, craft shop and guesthouse run by the Global Mamas fair-trade NGO, which works with Ghanaian women producers. The kitchen does vegetarian and vegan Ghanaian dishes — red-red (bean stew with fried plantain), groundnut soup with tofu, fresh salads from local produce — alongside good coffee, smoothies and baked goods.

The downstairs shop sells batik fabric, beads, soaps and shea butter from the Global Mamas network. Useful for a calm meal between sightseeing and a place to pick up gifts that genuinely support local women.
