Get up early and watch the fishing boats return with their catch. Kokrobite is still a working fishing village, and mornings are when you see it — women and children waiting at the water's edge as the boats come in, then the quick business of unloading and selling. If you ask nicely, you can often buy fish straight off the boat and find someone to cook it up.
The Academy of African Music and Arts (AAMA) runs drumming and dance workshops that are open to visitors of any level. A week-long course is available for those who want to go deep; shorter sessions are possible too. Check what's on when you arrive — evening performances draw both locals and guests from the nearby lodges.
